I think the guitars can go down quite a bit. The drums also lack some punch and are quiet (may be remedied by turning guitars down).

Awesome. I'll check that out. Originally, when I was referencing my CD to some professional work on my system, the drums were too loud and the guitars too soft, so I over-compensated I suppose.

There are almost no lows on the kick or bass guitar. Need to boost that substantially. Other than its pretty good. Those pinch harmonics are awful though.

What'd you use for bass? Killer grind.

Morgan, what are you monitoring on? I checked on computer speakers, monitors and two pairs of headphones and a/b'd with other mixes about the low ends issue. I'll check it out again, thank you.

Headphones. Its not too bad, just add some 50hz to the kick, and some overall lowend to the bass guitar.

I used a schecter omen bass, split the signal into two parts. One is ampeg svx which is from 40-800 hz, the other is from 800-5000 hz which is 8505+Revalver with one of the built in cab models fo bass.

from a songwriting approach, does that first riff have anything to do with the rest of the song? It ruined the song for me. lol. The production is good, but I didn't like the nu metal intro. I know it comes back in the end, but I don't think it fits the song at all. Could have been arranged better.

But like I said, it sounds nice.

Its funny, the bass and guitar don't really gel at the start, but when the vocals come in they work together really well.
