Which of these CDs do you think are the best Manegarms releases?

Urminnes Havd
Vredens Tid (The age of wrath)
Vargaresa - The beginning
Dödsfärd
Havets Vargar
Nordstjärnans Tidsålder

Vredens Tid and Dodsfard are my faves

not too crazy about Urminnes Havd-The FOrest Sessions

Havets Vargar and Nordstjarnans are a bit above average IMO. More black metal, less folk/viking/heathen stuffs

Vredens Tid

I find myself more drawn to their newer output. The older releases I've heard (Havests Vargar specifically comes to mind), is a little too raw sounding.

My guess is the band is trying to come up with a cool setlist?

They had a great setlist when I saw them a couple weeks ago in Belgium. They played a new song, quite a few off of Vredens and Dodsfard and a couple off the other 2. But I don't know if it'll be the same for HCII.

I think I'll be wiped by the time Rudra wrap things up anyway, so whatever Manegarm play is fine by me.

In a weird way, I'm not too disappointed by my indifference towards some of the headliners because I'm normally pretty wiped by the end of any festival.

It's the earlier part of the roster that will keep my interest: Vreid, Slough Feg, Rudra, etc. :kickass:

Sounds great to me - though I never really agree with playing new stuff at a festival atmosphere, save it for the tours, particularly if you don't have an hour and a half or more to play. Even if the songs rule, people simply don't know them or have had enough time with them to be familiar enough. I just think it breaks the momentum.
