MARDUK’s website reports that the band will enter the Abyss studio to record their next album at the beginning of September. They will first record the basics and then return in November to add the final touches. The reason for this is studio engineer Peter Tagtgren's touring commitments during October. A 7” single will be released in mid-January followed by the album in mid-February. Following the release of the album, the band will embark on a massive European tour of 40-50 shows. Plans are also being made for dates in other parts of the world. Regarding the issue of Marduk traveling to the US, the INS have not given any thumbs up yet but requested more material. Over the next few weeks, the band will launch a Halloween contest at www.marduk.nu. Fans will be able to win memorabilia plus an authentic signed human skull from Morgan's own collection.

Hah. Peter Tägtren was supposed to stop producing bands in Abyss. So much for that promise. Although I honestly wish he would stop, the only decent album to come out of there is At the Heart of Winter.
