Before I forget. Last time I took the train from the airport and ended up walking in the heat for about a mile! what is train station that is closest to Center Stage?
You want to go to the ARTS CENTER station. I'm guessing you got off at the Midtown station last time.

So, you've purchased your ticket to the festival and now your next task is to figure out travel details. If you've never been to PPUSA before, we hope this note will help a bit.
LODGING
List of all hotels in the area:
http://www.progpowerusa.com/xii/event/hotels.html
We advise not to delay with lodging reservations, as 11 hotels are already SOLD OUT. (Georgia Tech has a home game on Saurday).
TRANSPORTATION
Using MARTA (Atlanta's rail and bus transportation system)
For first time attendees, transportation could not be easier. MARTA = Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority
At Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (
http://www.atlanta-airport.com), arriving air travelers should follow the Ground Transportation signs to MARTA. The entrance to MARTA's Airport Station is located inside the western end of the airport's main terminal. Our faregates are just a few feet from the baggage claim areas. Follow the signs, they are plentiful. There is no change-over and the ride is approximately 20 minutes. Once you exit up the stairs, you will find yourself across the street from the Artmore Hotel with less than a minute walk to the venue.
Cost is $2.00 one way. For schedules, maps, etc.:

Atlanta Checker Cab Company services Midtown Atlanta. We suggest adding 404-351-1111 to your cell phone.
FOOD
There are 50+ restaurants within walking distance of the venue, and many are open as late as 3am.

The 3 closest eateries to grab a quick bite in between sets:
1. Subway (up the hill in front of Center Stage)
2. Vespucci's Pizza & Pasta (next door to Subway)
3. Club Market and Cafe (directly next door to The Artmore - base of a high-rise apartment building)
ATTRACTIONS
We realize that many of you use the week of ProgPower as your vacation. There are many nearby attractions to keep you busy before and/or after the festival.
