Disney to buy Marvel for $4 billion

The Walt Disney Co. said Monday it has agreed to buy comic book and action hero company Marvel Entertainment for about $4 billion. The deal pairs a comic book publisher that recently began to produce its own movies with one of the largest international media companies in the world, CNNMoney.com reports.

Ugh..... a merger that I never wanted to see happen. There goes probably one of the best names in the industry.

I only see positive things coming out of this. Disney will probably let Marvel run their comic industry as is but also adds a lot of financial backing for their movie studio in the future, especially once the Paramount deal runs out. This isn't the Disney of the 90s. Eisner is gone.
