He said in Metal Hammer that he wanted to do one more album and then call it quits. But that probably really means he's ready to give it up. Don't forget he's getting old and decrepit now aswell. He still needs his surgery on his back and whatnot.

in adition. we have the new guard coming out of the woodwork now. it probably gives him the sense that if megadeth ends there will be another generation to keep things going. it didn't look like it was ever going to happen again, but then it did.

what happens when the other big bands quit? slayer, metallica, judas priest etc.....

an entire generation of music will be basically ending. that will be quite sad.
