reviving some old glory

im working in me new house these days. fixing stuff, make things bit more attractive, painting will follow, ah and demolishing too :D *man*

My mate bought this 100 year old house, he got the keys a good 4 weeks ago, been working there regularly since. Everything inside have to undergo total renovation, tearing down the addict and walls even the floor, getting tons of rubble and dirt used for isolation over you, carrying it out, damn tough work, and there's no end to it. I never realised how much work it is, just isolating the new walls, god damn. The whole man aspect gave way to simple exhaustion weeks ago. And they're nowhere near moving in yet.

yeah im making up a plan myself too. like i do most important things first. and ill continue later on as i have the money for it.

so whats up now? painting the walls, 2 new toilets, moving the boiler from the bathroom to the kitchen cause its too risky in the bathroom (CO intoxication), new furnace, fixing the kitchen and waxing+cleaning the roof (that wont be my job tho)

*man*

They have to do everything and he hasn't really got a place to live, staying with parents and friends, both of them having full time jobs as well, so it's just work every day afterwards. And I feel like a shithead every time I'm not there to help them.

Fun enough most of the time too though, yesterday I found a couple of pages of a paper from 1902 while we were tearing up the floor, interesting stuff. Something about drinking beer while exhausted that's very nice as well.

All the outside stuff is fine though, luckily. The bloody house cost him about 250.000 Euros.

yeah me too

when i saw what its actually about, i was about to post some of my daily *man* stories, but i was afraid youd wank while reading this topic.

Right, yesterday I went to the station in Ghent cos Heiko would pick me up to go to the MDB gig. He was in a traffic jam so I had to stand in the rain for an hour. Luckily Pieter called me to tell about the traffic jam or otherwise I'd have thought Heiko forgot me. We missed the first band, The Prophecy. Enjoyed My Dying Bride's gig (hell, something scary happened, Aaron did something that resembled smiling/laughing, I hope that will end up on the upcoming dvd). Then Heiko brought me to his mate, where I could sleep. I had never ever met this guy before, and he didn't go to the MDB gig, so it was kinda weird to go to someone in the middle of the night, waking him up so I could sleep in his couch. Well, 'sleep'. It was about 2 o clock and there was a huge fish aquarium next to me, and it made a horrible lot of noise, so I didn't exactly sleep. Had to leave again at 7.30 to catch the train, got totally wet due to the pouuuuring rain (wasn't exactly a bad thing as I didn't get the opportunity to wash me or even change clothes at Heiko's mate's house *metal*) Got late at school, got kicked out because I fell asleep haha.
