Menhir, any good?

hahaha, yeah. every time I think i'm gonna get something by them, I find out some other band or new release, and forget about Menhir.

The only reason I suggest you buy now is because Dark Symphonies have their albums for $10 p&p. It's probably the best price you'll ever see for them as well.

yeah, I saw that. I've also noticed that their last album (2001) was released on Skaldic Art, and it's the only one that seems to be hard to find, at least as far as the regular mailorders I use go.

Also, anyone know what Manegarm or Norden is like?

I once owned NORDSTJÄRNANS TIDSÅLDER and sold it. It did nothing for me I'm afraid to say. I'm sure they're the sort of band that may have progressed over time, certainly their artwork became more interesting. :loco:

Well, "Thuringia" and "Ziuwari" certainly have something to offer in terms of decent pagan metal, non too harsh though, more like a Falkenbach anchored in Teutonic cultural frames. And while you're at it check Odroerir, they're from the same area of Germany and have some really worthwhile medieval/metal stuff going on.

Judging by Havets vargar which is the only Månegarm album I've heard, they're not very good. It was too much and too cheesy folk parts and not very talented music otherwise to back it up with
