Mercury Magnetics Mod (Guitar amp TRAFO)

Are you guys familiar with the Mercury Magnetics Mod?
I'm looking to get it down to my Brunetti XL-R-EVO 2 amp.

any opinions?

Not worth it.
MM is very overpriced for what they are. I'm sure the iron in the Brunetti is just as good if not better than anything from MM.

Yeah, I don't agree with Trace (voodoo), FJA and those folks. I don't think a tranny upgrade on all these amps is really a necessary mod as they imply. Heck, Kranks were shipping with Merc Mags in them and Mesa builds dandy custom trannys. I believe the benefit is little to none unless your amp is weak!

If your OT is really old then I could see this being a noticable mod. Otherwise fucking weak for $300. So many better mods IMO.
