Mesa Mark V finally unveiled!

Never played a Mark series amp, nor heard anything TOO amazing from one, but I know they have a huge following, and if nothing else that thing looks super versatile! I wonder how much it'll cost; I'm guessing a straight 2 grand (USD, of course :muahaha: )

God forbid they could've updated that hideously boring and outdated look, though - I guess it's too "classic"

Now I have something to replace my Sig:X w/o losing versatility!

Wooh. Just read that whole site through. Very cool.

It almost seems like it could've used 4 channels though doesn't it? There are so many high gain options that they could've been split for 'MarkIIC/MarkIV' and 'Rectifier' channels respectively. Speaking of which, I really do hope 'Extreme' mode pushes it into recto territory, because that would really make this the ultimate amp.

+1 Ermin! Having all of the best Mark circuits is absolutely fantastic, but having a Recto in it would make it pretty much the ultimate Mesa amplifier for me.

Wow looks very versatile.... The Mark series always has kicked ass, and I would expect this one to do the same....

fucking. want.

mesas are good amps, but i've never really desired one...but holy shit, this thing looks genuinely awesome

+1 on mark iv being best amp ever. if i was do get stranded on a desert island with electricity for an amp and a guitar and i could have on amp, it would be the mark iv.

but we'll see how this baby sounds.

This will either be the best amp ever made or a bitch to upkeep, or both. Any word on the price? Seriously looks amazing, I'm glad that Mesa hasn't sold out and made any shitty entry-level amps.

yea, i heard they're asking around 2 g's

if it does everything they claim it does, that's really a pretty fair price IMO

if that's the case i wish they had a seperate channel for the ultra lead kind of.

this way you could have the extreme "rectoish" channel for heavy rhythm playing and the iic+/iv mode for leads..

the ultimate amp would be having a 2ch DR for your rhythm tone and a iv for your lead tone.
