Hey lads...
here's a mix I'm just working on....not really much to do there with hardly any overheads etc....

still, just give it a listen and give some pointers...
guitars in the heavy-section aren't meant to be uber-tight (recto with tube rec, no TS, passive pups etc)...which is good cause the guitarists weren't playing ubertight either

The heaviest bit is in the very end.

Passed

die Gitarren sind ein ganz klein wenig harsh.
Ansonsten finde ich passt das alles super (vor allem drums sind fett, aber nicht zu dominant).

Don't have any pointers to give Lasse. But I like the guitar tones. I love the mesa tone, especially the Mark IV (any Mark series for that matter...damn I regret letting go of my Triaxis!!!)

Hm, to me it sounds a bit harsh (smilar to the solidstate amp kind of harsh). It's probably just me, though.

I'll listen when I get home, cuz I'm always curious to see if I can hear a Mk IV tone that justifies all the love certain people shower on it - what's your impression of the amp, Lasse?

I think the amp is really versatile. unique and nice sounding.
the tones I diald in (sludgy) aren't really my favorites though (although I like the bit in the very end for its nut-shaking qualities).

I'll have the MKIV in the studio again in a couple of weeks and will try to get some clips for you (didn't have the time this time to fuck around too much with it).

Yes! Please! I'd love to have some clips of the MarkIV by itself to help me approximate tones to that sound. :notworthy

listening on my Harmon/Kardon SoundSticks + Sub system, the guitars don't sound "harsh" to me... they sound dark, if anything... and that's not a criticism, they seem fine.
