I use a Mesa Recto Preamp's record out with some EQ processing. What opinions on a guitar sound will be?

I'd try a bit less gain, possibly more midrange, because those tend to get fizzy when you start multitracking and you need the dynamics. Is there a Tube Screamer in that chain? If not, it'll tighten things up; if there is, you might want to kill some 'flub' by cutting bass on the EQ.

Sounds pretty oldschool, but pretty good. Less gain and more midrange would help a little bit I think. A little fizzy, but that's not the main problem, you might be able to fix this by filtering off some top end.

sounds way better than my recto going direct '(more real, mine's worse than a v-amp). like to share the settings, so i can check what my recto would sound with those ?
