wow. Yesterday they played a "some kind of secret show" in Hungary. I always wanted to see them in a small club, very close (I was sitting on the edge of the stage, before Fredrik), and yes, another dream came true.
They played mainly older songs, mostly my favourites, so the setlist was perfect. To see Tomas playing on drums from 2 meters... it was incredible. :notworthy Maybe he's a robot, not a human. :)
You could almost touch the energy in the air...

It was the concert of the year!

I will never understand why people like this band.

because how they use the rhythm, drums and guitars separately and together, it's really unique and genious
somehow it's like yin and yang in music

and it's like david lynch's eraserhead: if you won't turn off on the first 15 mins, you'll love it. :)

You won't ever understand until you start playing drums, bass, or guitar. To tell you the truth, I can't listen to them for long periods...it just makes me crazy. It's a spectacle that you must see to believe because hearing them play the stuff they play seems impossible.

Haha, well at least drums and guitar. Bassists are always expendable..:goggly:

Think "Man in the Box". Cantrell uses that to make his voice and his guitar... "one"

Aye, or, more famously, on 'Livin' On A Prayer', it's used in the main riff. Sambora and Zakk Wylde are quite partial to using them, and the common term given to them is a "Talk Box". :)

Technically proficient but the music does nothing for me. And for the record, I am a bass player.
