 jk kinda..

Man vs. himself. Trying to tame his own demons to reach inner peace.

Awesome video that makes sense of this type the music. Reminded me of "The Cell." Too bad they don't have vids like this for all the songs, which would make them worthwhile. Moral of the story is this band desperately needs video accompaniment.

yeah i saw the teaser for this video a few weeks back and was really interested but after watching it i am really disappointed. once again the track is butchered and the video is just stupid shit that has no relevance to meshuggah at all.

If you don't like it that's cool, but the artwork, and concept is the bands, and there is definite relevance even if you don't seem to catch the obviousness of it all.

sure i see the relation between the video and the obzen artwork. but it seems to stop at face value. i guess i just expected something a little deeper.

It doesn't stop there. In the short amount of time they told the age old story of man wrestling with his inner animal, and at the end he's bounded by his rage or you can take it as he gained controlled of his rage, and the meditating creature is a representation of his inner peace. These are definitely themes that represent the cd, I don't see how you can can any deeper in 5 minutes, and it's more of a story than 99.9% of music videos out there, but then again I don't think you really saw it.

i understand the video and i appreciate what they are doing. its not just another generic video like 90% of videos today. but personally i just don't think it suits meshuggah visually and what not.

Would you rather have pink rabbits, unicorns, and rainbows?

I'm no Meshuggah fan, But personally I think it fits perfect, and actually makes the music 10 times better imo. In the end it's their music, and since it's their vision I'll take their word for it.
