2007 is shaping up to be one of Metal Blade’s biggest year’s to date with new releases from King Diamond, Six Feet Under, As I Lay Dying, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Red Chord, Into The Moat, and our latest group of signings, Shai Hulud, Job For A Cowboy, and Psyopus. 2007 also marks Metal Blade Records 25th year as a record label making it our silver anniversary. To commemorate this monumental occasion Metal Blade will be releasing special editions of some of our classic albums which will include re-mastered recordings, digipak packaging with a bonus DVD that will contain material recorded at the time of the original release, and updated liner notes. The first of these releases will be Lizzy Borden’s “Master of Disguise” which will be out in early 2007. More information on upcoming 25th Year Anniversary releases will be made throughout the next few months so keep an eye on www.metalblade.com for updates.

Metal Blade will also be releasing a special edition of Flotsam and Jetsam’s “Doomsday for the Deceiver” (2 CD/DVD) to honor the bands 20th anniversary and will be out on October 31st, which also happens to be the same date as Jason Newsted’s last show with the band.

Hey JD are you going for it? ;)

Metal Blade's recent remaster/special editions are by far the best out there. Great packaging and bonus material that's actually worthwhile. I have the rereleases of Armored Saint's Symbol of Salvation, Fates Warning's Awaken The Guardian and the two Psychotic Waltz reissues, all very impressive.

I'm personally hoping they'd make a reissue boxset of Helstar's Distant Thunder and Nosferatu, with some dvd bonus material possibly.

:hotjump: I listened to alot of Lizzy Borden this summer (they kept coming up in conversations with various people) so I'm excited about that. But a re-release of Doomsday with BONUS BONUS material! That's be a must have for me. That was my favorite Flotsam release and that's the time when I was going to Flotsam shows almost every month (they played often here in Phoenix) so watching video footage from that era should really bring back some memories.

I second all of that.

Omen's "Battle Cry" quality reissue is also worth mentioning ;)
