is there a truly good website for a list of "good" metal bands both mainstream and non-mainstream that are on tour, or you can search dates near you?

i was just wondering, that way i didnt have to check out each band individually.

ticketmaster kind of sucks for finding shows, well i have found a few but it does miss alot of shows, especially since not every concert uses ticketmaster.

any help or sites would be cool

actually it doesnt even have to be metal, just good music in general.

Well, if you live in Atlanta, WREKage does a fantastic job updating the site with upcoming metal shows, both big and local. www.wrekage.org Other than that, I have no idea.

For Southern California, I find www.moshking.com to be pretty up to date with shows in that area. Though most tours I just find out about from browsing these or other forums.

Zedowns beat me to it.....www.moshking.com is pretty solid for SoCal shows and its updated almost daily.

I usually look at whatever band I am interested in website. Then I check blabbermouth.net and bravewords.com. Usually when they announce or do a story on a band a tour is due to follow.

I generally stick to 3 sites aside from this forum which gets me info on a fair number of shows. I also have the site of a local promotion that posts all the shows they are doing in the area. 90% of the time they have all the good metal shows coming to my area. Other than that, I often check The Palladium website. It's a venue out in Mass that has a lot of the good tours. I'll also check The Chance & The Webster sites every so often as backups since they're closer to me.
