Hi! This is a mix i´m working on right now. I did all the recording and produced the band as well. So I´m looking for a second opinion on this. Feel free to comment.

/Cheers Michael

To my ears, guitars are a bit low compared to the drums (though if a drums right upfront style is what youre going for it might be ok, but even then in parts I think too low still), vocals a bit high and you to get bass supporting the guitar low end and blending with the drums; the guitars and the drums are both just sort of hanging on their own there at the moment without proper gell. Even the heavy riffs have no real heaviness as a result, its rather thin.

I'd personally like to hear a bit more verb on the snare in particular and some more gunshot crack top end, but that may well just be me. It lacks depth now, all right upfront on the drums (slate?) + VST (or sounds like it) on the guitars and its a bit flat, needs depth somewhere.

Very clean and crisp though. Well tracked and played.

I really like the tune though, its cool.

Thanks for the comment! I agree with you on all fronts acually. I´ll try to fix that tomorow. I´m really tired in my ears and mind right now :P The bass drum is 50% slate 50% real drum. The rest is trigged with samples I made from the kit before we recorded them.

Thanks for your input. Cheers! :)

The snare is really muffled and the kick too clicky

Thanks for your reply. I kinda like the snare sound, but maybe it´s a bit to loud and misses the "Crack". I agree the kick is a little bit to clicky. I´ll work some more with the mix and hopefully come out with a new much better tomorrow. :)

Here is one more mix from the same band that i´m working on. If you got the time please listen and tell me what you think! Cheers!
