I am working on this mix, right now I screwed it up a bit by compressing the shit out of everything. I need to go back and start over on the compression side of things, but this is all real instruments, no models or replacement of the drums. I mic'd a Mesa Recto cab with an sm57, amp was an Engl Powerball. The kick was a beta 91 in the kick, beta 52 in the port. Snare was sm57, toms were actually EV mics that came in a mic kit. Overheads were just cheap Samson CO2s. Bass was a Sansamp RBI and vocals were done with an SM7b. I used Classic API vp26s, Warm Audio WA12s, and Golden Age Projects Pre573s for all the instruments. I know it's alittle rough, that's because it still is rough. I need to time align, automate, properly compress and eq everything still. This is just a quick start at it to see how everything sounded. I may or may not use some sample replacement. I probably won't because I am pretty happy with what I can get done without. But time will tell if I grow to hate it lol.
