I'll have to be in Kiel, Germany for my job somewhere at the end of March or in April for a few days. I can pick up the dates I want. It'll be my very first time in Germany (and in Europe as well). I was wondering if there could be any metal shows of interest in Hamburg (which is not too far from Kiel if I'm not mistaken). I've always dreamt of going to Germany, the mecca of heavy metal since the 80s so that would be cool to be able to attend at least one metal show while I'm there.

If one of these band I never saw live was playing at that time, I'd be in heaven: SAXON, AXEL RUDI PELL, GRAVE DIGGER, BRAINSTORM, U.D.O., JADED HEART, MASTERPLAN, SINNER, RAGE, MSG...

Thanks for any infos.

I would suggest just checking band websites out. Last year I was able to catch Backyard Babies out in Frankfurt while I was in Germany. Keep in mind that a lot of those major cities are connected by train. Something like www.eurorail.com.

G, check out www.pollstar.com Click on "Concerwire", and then type in the city, artist, whatever. You'll get results.

Actually here's the link to the concert schedule for Hamburg, Germany.

Looks like Kamelot will be playing around the time you'll be arriving.

Thanks, I'll check out Pollstar. I don't really that much for Kamelot anymore so I'll pass.

Looks like I might try to check out the Rocktower festival on April 3 in Lubeck, Germany, or try to be able to go see Saxon in Denmark on March 26, supposedly a 2.5-hour drive from Kiel. I haven't decided on my dates yet.

Anyone here from Denmark? I'd like to know if Saxon usually sells out their shows in your country? Cause if I happen to be at that gig, I'll have to buy my ticket at the door. It would be sad to organize my trip to see that show and get there to be told it's sold out...

The thing is that I'm not too interested in filling a form to buy a ticket in a language I don't understand at all...
