METAL SKOOL haters

I heard a while back that Atomic Punks were looking for a Sammy-ish singer to fill in for when Ralph was off doing whatever it is that Ralph does... Dunno what happened to this, or maybe it was BS... Who knows?

Some people just dont seem to have a sense of humour any more.

Its all an act, like many an adult comedien, A la roy Chubby brown, and Kevin Bloody wilson, they shows probably carry a disclaimer saying if easily offended then stay away.

I thought it was funny, I looked up some clips on youtube.

I was into bands like Poison, skid row, bon jovi, Ratt quireboys and *gulp* Winger. And I can laugh at the image of it all. We seek humour in things close at heart.

My attitude is that if you dont like it then stay away.

When Imet roy Chubby brown, he was a very charming, softly spoken well mannered person, whom I found out hates people swearing in front of women and children, NOTHING at all like his stage persona.

Theres a huge difference between a comedy act poking fun than someone who actually believes women are inferior or are nothing but sex symbols. Its a paraody of the excesses of the time.

+1

People really need to lighten the fuck up. Metal School is a staple in Hollywood. The entire show is a joke but at the same time they are very good at what they do. Check out them and kelly clakrson that is some funny shit. I am a regular at the Rainbow next door. Every monday night the Key Club is slam packed. I rarely go in but it is always a very fun party.

If you take that shit seriously you need to really take the stick out of your ass. Or at least educate yourself to what they do and what they are before jumping to conclusions

One thing about the Hollywood 80s metal scene I never got, was why all these dudes wore such tight pants and girly make up like Vince Neil did. I remember hangin on Sunset when I was about 15 or 16 just not getting what all the cross dressing pretty boy scene was about.

The real men wore Metal Up Your Ass T Shirts and were rough grundgy heshers with the thin plastic comb hangin out of his back pocket of his sagging black jeans, de-seeding Mexi buds and pounding 40s. Not this glam crap!

from what i recall, motley crue was the first time i saw that kind of "glam metal." it was for their THEATRE OF PAIN in '85. they were emulating their heroes, aerosmith, with girly makeup, tight spandex pants & even scarves on the microphone a la steven tyler. it was a throwback to the androgynous glitter rock of the 70s (gary glitter, david bowie, etc.). that was the beginning of the end for 80s metal haha

and props for using the word "hesher." LOL :headbang:
