Metal Snaresdrum---different mics and positions (Clips)

yo...
here are some raw and completely unprocessed tracks of my black panther b.eye maple piccolo

the mics used were
C414 on top (in figure 8. cardiod sounded balls, 8 kicks ass on snare)
m201 on top
km184 on the side micing the shell
sm57 on the bottom

I think it might be interesting for some to see how shell mics augment the top mics.



btw, I think all the mics at unity gain sound quite nice together...just add some comp and you're gonna have a kickass sample
