metal studios/producers in ny

Anyone know of any really good studios/producers in ny? My band is looking to record a 10 song album with someone who can kick some ass.

purple light studios did the candiria albums, and while not traditional I really like the way those albums sound, hes in NY somewhere

You could also track it in NY and have someone else mix it. There are many people on this forum, including myself, who live in various places around the US (and the rest of the world too) would would be willing to mix your project if you found somewhere decent to track it in NY. I don't know what kind of band you're in or what kind of sound you're looking for, but my most recent completed project was a mix-only job from a band who tracked in Portland and shipped me a hard drive. You should check out Big Blue Meenie studios and try to work with Tim Gilles, probally prety expensive though.
