Hello all!

Well, this has been something I have wanted to do for quite some time, for various reasons. I'm happy to say that it is becoming a reality much sooner than I had hoped/anticipated.

MetalAges Records! I'm starting small, as many labels have done, and as time goes on, I hope to build a respectable and successful label. My goal? Simple. I realize that without good bands, the label doesn't exist, therefore, I will strive to make it as much an equal partnership as possible with any band I sign. No, I'm not living in a dream world :). I'm just willing to share in the hopeful success of any band I sign/release. I have to thank my friend Matthew Needham for originally turning me onto my debut band. Many thanks Matthew, truly!

The band: Theocracy
Location: Georgia, USA
Website: under development
Logo: http://www.metalages.com/media/Logo-Theocracy3.gif
Album Cover: Mattias Noren
Description: Wow, this is a tough one. Let me better describe them by listing bands I hear at times: Savatage, Avantasia, Iced Earth, Queensryche, Dream Theater...to name a few. I think Theocracy succeed in having hints of these bands but without falling into the clone category. I hope you'll think the same :)

Tomorrow, on DJZH show on Seismic, a Theocracy track will be debuted. It's 12 minutes or so in length and runs the gamut when it comes to genres. Not really Progressive Metal, not Power Metal, somewhere in between. This track will also appear on the ProgPower USA Cd sampler and a separate track will appear on the UltimateMetal.com Volume 1 compilation later this Fall. Expect a release date for Theocracy hopefully before ProgPower USA in November.

Anyone out there that runs a zine/print mag, etc. please contact me at media@metalages.com so I can start compiling a list of those who wish to receive a CD for reviewing. If you run a CD shop, please contact me for wholesale pricing.

I look forward to this new "metal" road, and thank those who put up with me from time to time when it comes to showing you stuff :).

Label web site and Theocracy web site to be debuted soon.

Its always good to know there are cool guys out there like yourself that are willing to help out younger bands, congratulations and I wish you much sucess with it.
