right, this is the first mix of one of the track that i'm putting on my E.P. I'm trying to achieve a real tight feel to it. It will have vocals in the future, but I was just concentrating on the instruments and production first, and plus, the vocalist is on holiday...

anyway comments would be greatly appreciated =)

Everything is really quiet and lacking that punch and in-your-face ness. Bring everything WAY up. The drums sound really robotic. The guitars are undergained and need a lot more low-end. Right around 1:02 or 1:03, there's one mono guitar going.

yeah dude. there's no impact in this track at all.
it sounds like the parts that should be agressive are merely hummed

it doesn't sound like you doubled the guitars in some parts. double them.

cheers man. well i'm using pod farm on the guitars with the dual tone function Two tracks, both different takes, with one panned hard left and one panned hard right and i have a lead delay part central. i'll try doubling the guitar parts, so i'll end up having 2 left, 2 right?

Guitars are definitely the weak link here. They need quite a bit more gain, maybe some adjustments in the eq. Drums sound a little mechanical at parts but overall i dig the song, sounds pretty good dude.

@thrice, cheers for the advise. i've just started recording vocals, and i'm remixing it now. using some redwirez impulses along with Pod Farm now, sounding alot fuller

right, so i'm re-doing the cymbals with Sturgis Emerald Cymbal samples, guitars and most importantly the bass. Bass on this one is a midi bass =(, but ive just bought a bass, so re-recording atm
