Called New Song 19-07.
Vocals should come in a week or so!
All guitars played with an Ibanez RGR08LTD.
Distorted guitars are Tubescreamer, Diamond Plate Amp, Treadplate Cab, then a large amount of EQing.
Clean guitars are just a preset from podfarm, am not really happy with them atm.
Bass is an Ibanez GSR200 with strings a few years old :erk:
Drums are done with Kontakt player and Cracky Metal Kit.
Used the two instances of Gclip and Voxengo Elephant method to get some volume.

Any criticisms/tips would be appreciated!

it sounds good man.;)
could you share your pod patches?

and, what method did you use to record? analog outputs, ubs, spdif?

Hey, Very good! Waiting for vocals...
If I mix this, the bass would be a little more louder (but this just my opinion)
This guitar tone is great! Could you post the patch??

I'll get the pod patch up soon! My PC isn't behaving too well atm! haha
Also forgot to mention the guitars are quad tracked, with slightly different settings on the second takes, nearly identical though.

I was a little worried it was too thin... but whenever I brought the bass up it got really muddy, should really get new strings for the bass and re-record, maybe that would clean up the bass track a little?

hey man,sorry..can you share details about the guitar processing in the DAW?or did you make everything in the pod patch?

4 guitar tracks panned 100 Left 75 Left 75 Right and 100 Right.
Used the default protools 7 band EQ.
The ones panned inwards have a wide 2db cut at 350hz and 1khz and on the outside ones a 2db boost at 500hz.
Then all of them have HPF at 80, LPF at 10k, narrow 4db boosts at 400hz and 1.5khz and narrow 4db cuts at 800hz and 5.6khz.
