Yeah...The Big Gay Out. We'll have to put up with all the crap just to see Metallica and pay $100 + on top of that. There will have to be fair majority of decent bands on to make me go.

I heard they are doing one of thier own shows here in melbourne on Jan 28 at the myer music bowl. Can someone please confirm the date?

Yeah... there are sideshows, I did know know the dates but I can't remember them right now. They pretty much matched up with the BDO dates though... maybe a day or two before each of those shows

Horsehead was signed to Mushroom at the time. They were hardly "no ones".

There's a lot worse they could have done than have Horsehead as support. They could have had the band that supported Deep Purple here in Sydney a couple of years back.

I would not go if I was given free tickets , they have been so ordinary for over a decade now .

As for shocking supports , I think Pearls & Swine supporting Motorhead in the early 90's .The mighty Armoured Angel originally had the Canberra support(well Queanbeyan) and were removed so that Pearls & Swine could play . Blasphemy.
