Honestly I fully understood your, point I just think that If you have ever actually recorded and mix in 96k then you would know what I'm talking about, if you haven't then your not really going to get it until you try it!
I have tracked and mixed several projects in 96kHz, ranging from live rap shows to jazz. Recorded in digital domain, mixed both ITB and on an analog console. Once and for all, I never said it doesn't make a difference, and I never disagreed with you. In the music and environments I usually track in, the difference usually isn't drastic enough for me to worry about it at the moment.
I'm not exactly sure what triggered you into the "you haven't tried it, you just don't know what you're talking about and you're obviously saying it doesn't make a difference" mode, though. If my post gave such an impression, then I apologize for being unclear, but that wasn't quite my intention.
