Can't help but notice its sounds eerily too close to the original one. Sounds exactly like the original except slower down and half-step tuned down. Good job. How'd you get that tone? How'd you do the drums?
Well, since I didn't record this myself I can't tell you anything regarding the recording process. I only did the mixing.I would need to get in touch with the guy who recorded this and who also sent me the stems last year in november...whooo.
There were 4 tracks of guitar DI's and one DI for the bass of course.
Solo tracks were already reamped by him I guess.
So in short I did this:
The first sets of guitars were reamped through Hughes & Kettner Duo Tone with Zakk's overdrive and a Marshall v30 cab. The second set same settings but with Marshall bass cab. Miced with AKG c414 and SM57 for direct sound and Neumann U87 for the room sound. For the Bass I used Markbass TA503 500W with impulse response. Drums were 100% already replaced with some samples that sounded like shit not to mentionOH...anyway I had to use my own samples mixed with Battery v1 believe it or not more like a Battery 70% my samples 30%. UAD DSP card Ultra pak for the plugins(eq, compressors etc), VCC and Trigger from Slate digital and for let's call it mastering Timeworks Mastering compressor.
