Metallica - Hall of Fame Footage

From what i've heard, the male voice is supposed to get better with age. More power/range/control, etc. and, since metallica is all in touch with the inner child and all that horseshit (i'm scared to even watch the st anger dvd, i think i'd break my tv if i saw footage of them in their therapy sessions, whining like bitches)... but the point i was makign before i got all mad at that again was if they've cleaned up (less drinking/drugs, etc) that should also help his voice. however, like you said, we're just human and who knows what the current tour has done to his voice on that particular night.

Well, actually the tone and timbre can become better (it's like muscles, the more you exercise them and the better you take care of them, they become bigger and stronger) but the range goes away easily on the high notes.
