April 5, 2004 - Joe Berlinger & Bruce Sinofsky's METALLICA: SOME KIND OF MONSTER, which made its debut to sold-out crowds at Sundance this year, was honored with the prestigious Audience Award at Copenhagen's NatFilm Festival, Denmark's largest international film event, again playing to a sold-out audience.
Additionally, SOME KIND OF MONSTER was nominated at the Full Frame Documentary Festival in Durham, North Carolina for MTV's News
ocs prize, which honors documentary films that, "capture the essence of what it is to be a young adult," and, "incorporate a tribute to the young human spirit."
Upcoming film festival cities include San Francisco, Sydney, Maui, and Toronto, among others. The film opens theatrically across North America on July 9th.
