I don't know how many of you already know about this....but it's pretty funny. Adult Swim has a new cartoon about a Death metal band. The band is called Deathclok, and is so successful that they account for the world's third largest economy (or something like that). It takes a minute to get into, but it's pretty funny once you settle into it.

Very funny indeed, watched all the pieces..reminds me a little bit of the "Heavy Metal" movies. Have you guys seen that first "Heavy Metal" movie (1981) ?? that's the best animation movie ever in my opinion, and has a superb soundtrack !!

Yeah, some of the guys in Metallica have done guest voices too, or so I read. Anyway, it seems a pretty funny show!

I actually stopped watching it. The music is good, but the storyline isn't solid enough to keep my attention beyond that. The first episodes was great, but the rest bored me.

The first one is indeed a gem. Was the first R movie I saw (being at the time underage ) and I got caught by it up to this day. The soundtrack never did much for me since the songs I do like I already got in other albums, and many are not metal IMO (Stevie Nicks, Journey, Foghat). Standing among them a rafre track only available there by Nazareth 'Crazy? (a suitable case for treatment)', as well as Cheap Trick 'I Must Be Dreamin' and 'Reach Out'. Also Grand Funk Railroad 'Queen Bee', BOC 'Veteran Of The Psychic Wars' and Black Sabbath 'Mob Rules' (oustanding during the attack on the city in the 'Taarna' segment).

I have also the original stories on which Dan O'Bannon made the script, and I must say he really improve some like 'Soft Landing' and 'So Beautiful And So Dangerous'.

And I'm still horny regarding Taarna up to this day

The second movie sucks, both in quality and soundtrack (pure mallcore crap), which is sad since the original concept by Simon Bisley is very good (and I love also the game F.A.K.K. 2).
