Miami area PPers

Hey does anyone who posts here on the board live in the Miami area? I am coming down on business this THursday and was trying to see if any metal bands might be playing in the area that night. I am sure there isn't, but does not hurt to ask. Plus any local clubs that metal bands tend to play? For example, The Masquerade in Atlanta gets most of the metal bands. I would appreciate any info that someone could pass along. THis will be my first trip to Miami.

Hah. I was asking the same thing a couple months ago. I'm going to be in Miami Tuesday through Friday (leaving in the morning) for a conference. Nothing is really going on from a major standpoint. There is one blues musician playing at one of the clubs. If you find out anything let me know.

So far all I have found is Kenny G playing in town.
As far as clubs that play metal, I believe Churchill's and the Pawn Shop have metal bands?!?!?

Mastodon in Playing in Ft. Lauderdale @ the Culture Room on the 26!
John Mayer is playing at the University of Miami on the 26 as well...
Live is playing in Ft. Lauderdale on the 29th..
Red Hot Chilli Peppers is playing in sunrise (just west of Lauderdale) on the 31...

There is also a little fest going on in Ft. Lauderdale on the 26 and 27.. Agnostic Front, Madball, Murphy's Law, Know the Score, The new Threat, Viva Hate, Evergreen terrace are some of the bands playing...


next saturday Aghora is playing in Miami.. release party of their new album. .that should be great.. But it's only next saturday... and the sunday after the Bears and Colts are playing a little game down here

next saturday Aghora is playing in Miami.. release party of their new album. .that should be great.. But it's only next saturday...

I may check that out. I saw the open for Sonata Arctica @ the Culture Room last year. Some great musicianship there!
