Mic placements on cabinets

I allways place my mic "right on" as close as possible to my cabinett. No angle.

However, do you guyes place it on the half of the speaker that closest to the neighbour speaker or the wall of the cabinett?

I place it off center point directly into the cone. Or at least thats what i did last time i tried. Didn't sound too bad for my first ever miking attempt.
