I've been reading a lot of this forums post on guitar players and I recently looked up this man who seems to be absolutely brilliant.

But I have to ask, how does he play two guitars with both hands continuously without strumming?

I really don't understand it.

I'm more curious about how it is possible that people can listen to or watch this stuff without feeling a nearly uncontrollable urge to vomit.

And to answer your question, that technique is called tapping.

It's really not that crazy of a concept. You just have to be proficient at legato technique (hammer on/pull off) on both hands. One can pretty easily play legato runs with the left hand (or right hand if you play left handed) continuously without picking once a certain level of proficiency is attained.

He hits the strings with his fingers hard enough for them to sound and pulls off hard enough for them to sound. He has string dampeners so as to keep it from all sounding like noise. Pretty talented, creative, kinda impressive, but very much overrated and not deserving of a thread.

Small, sponge like things at the nut (where the string stops at the top right before the headstock) that rest lightly on the strings and prevent them from sustaining as much as they would. It makes a cleaner sound on the double neck but isn't worth shit on a regular guitar.

Yea that isnt not hard at all basiclly it is is tapping. Try doing pull offs when picking then as you bulid up power take your picking hard and rest it behind the hand that does pull offs and yo use ur hand as a damperer.
