Maybe as a producer but why let him get in the way of three songwriters that are far better?

Let's see. Firstly, I don't believe that an Åkerfeldt-Swanö duo wouldn't work very well as they're both in a way alpha males in their flocks. Wilson would be a good partner for Åkerfeldt with Swanö being the producer.

I can see that. But Swano would just have to include a few guest vocal spots (growls particularly). The dual growl stuff Swano and Akerfeldt did on Edge of Sanity's Crimson is still one of the best things Swedish metal has ever accomplished. Fact.
