Mikael, Mr. Renkse, and A Fair Judgement

Has Mike been hanging out with Jonas a lot lately? I really think "A Fair Judgement" has a very Katatonia sound to it. My first thought is that it sounds like earlier Katatonia, perhaps "Brave Murder Day" era. I almost forget I'm listening to Opeth when I listen to that song. I also notice a very big Pink Floyd feel to the song a little before to a little after the 5 minute mark. Interesting song. I like it, though. It stood out to me when I first listened to the album.

I noticed the same thing, sounds like a big Floyd influence.
Also on Deliverance, I think it is, softer vocals sound alot like TOOL singer.

Some of the clean vocals sound a little bit Renkse-esque, or at least they remind me of his singing. 'Tis good, though.

Ah, I was just wondering. My old man and all his side of the family are from Newcastle and the old lady moved up there when she was young.
