Mike in New Orleans. Needless to say things down here are majorly fucked up. Still, only 75% of the power is back on. People are sleeping in tents in the front yards of what remains of their homes, waiting on FEMA trailers. You can't even breathe outside in some neighborhoods without a mask. The Superdome and Arena are heavily damaged, and most scheduled concerts have moved to Houston. The good thing is, so has most of the crime.
Man do we need a MetalFest Bad! Maybe next year some of the "Ozzfest" type promoters can put on a relief concert for us. We have plenty of cleared land now to have a huge outdoor event! Just one show is all we need! We could use some money, but to have a MetalFest would restore some normality to the city.
I will keep you guys informed, just to show it from my point of view; I am living through it. We are doing our best with what we got. The city will be better and bigger than before. While I rebuild my house (and others) I promise I will CRANK ANTHRAX ALL THE WAY UP as I remove drywall, carpet, and TOXIC MOLD. Hey we are definitely "spreading the disease" around here!

Yeah, would be cool if some metal bands would do something to raise a bit of money.

I usually piss on fundrasier conserts because they take themselves so seriously. But if it could make people relax for a couple of hours and maybe raise some money.
