Ever have any fretbuzz in the higher frets when altering your bridge level? Just curious - have a friend with a slight problem.

It buzzes because it's a Stephen Carpenter guitar. he never plays that high anyway, therefore the signature guitar emulates it :D

Which model is it? I have the old LTD SC-500 (hum hum single) and i had the frets adjusted after the first year to stop the buzzing, and it was fine till about 3 months ago when it started to buzz again, so i figured id give a stab at adjusting the truss rod and the bridge, i spent an hours adjusting the bridge, but it sounds fine now.

it used to be, but when Will's dad soldered my EMGs in it for me, he adjusted the truss rod and bridge for me and put the action really low and It was awesome, but not long after it started to buzz really bad so i adjusted it again, the action is just a little bit higher than when will's dad fixed it up for me.

If your willing to spend alot of patience on it, you can get it just right.

i have 2 LTDs, the one is a shitty model that i got for a hundred bucks.. it has some heavy buzzing, like to a point where the note sounds completely dead... it has a floyd rose and i think that has something to do with it... man i cant use those fucking things.

A good setup can make virtually any guitar playable.

If it's neck is warped, it may need the fretboard relevelling and then refretted which isn't cheap, but it certainly worked for my friends LTD Horizon 7 string.

Chances are a minor truss rod adjustment is all thats needed. A lutheir will spot any ramping in the enck though, which the truss rod can't sort out.

See this is pretty much what I was thinking, is that some of the higher frets may need to be sanded or hammered. I fucked with the truss AND the bridge (the problem only arose after he adjusted the bridge) and the thing just will not go to a nice action level without buzzing.

Yeah it seems like the frets are just too fucking high actually, it's weird.
