Ministry, Meshuggah tour

actually meshuggah is the most boring, same riff over and over chugging weird timing shit band ever. ministry is equal on the suckage meter. i swear a lot of meshuggah songs sound like they just got some drummer with down syndrome and then snapped a rubber band over and over and recorded it.

I'm assuming you mean Catch 33 and that album WAS the same riff over and over because it was like one big, awesome song. As for the "weird timing shit" they usually play in 4/4, just at really odd tempos and stuff.

I find Catch 33 to be one of their most rewarding in the long-term. Chaosphere and Nothing are once a year listens, they are just too abrasive. When I listen to Catch 33 in full I get a sort of mindfuck energy that isn't grating at all, it's something diffferent from their other releases. It's weird, the whole album is really just a build up to the track In Death - Is Death but once you get there you're in this mindset and I think that's what they intended.
