Day Of Renewal“ is the album-debut of the German gothic metal band MIRRORED IN SECRECY. Already in 2009 they've made an impact by releasing their highly appreciated self-produced EP "Truth".
Since their foundation in 2007 MIRRORED IN SECRECY shared the stage with a lot of international touring bands like Jesus On Extasy, Beyond The Void or Burden. On their both EPs, "Devotion" and "Truth", the band have been working together with famous engineers like Radu Marinescu (Unheilig, De/Vision) and Mika Jussila of the Finnvox Studios (Nightwish, Him).
In 2011 the 5-piece-band has been joined by female singer Julia, who added another dimen-sion to the prior sound. But still expect more than just the old beauty & the beast cliche. From edgy rock-vocals over growls to classic voices there's a lot to hear from both singers. Just as diversified is the instrumental section: Dowtuned drop-riffing meets singing leadguitars. Thunderous drumming alternates with laid-back acoustic-parts. "Day Of Renewal" is a great mixture between oldschool and modern Gothic Metal that simply works.
The album has been perfectly shaped mix-wise by Martin Buchwalter / Gernhart Studio (Suidakra, Destruction) and got mastered by the famous Kohlekeller (Crematory, Powerwolf).
