Icem4n was awesome enough to share the raw tracks of his AILD cover which I remixed and when I play it through my speakers it sounds great, but when I play it in my car, it sounds terrible. For starters, the volume isn't there. The guitars sound weak and thin and there is hardly any low end. In essence, it's sans balls.

I know this is an all too common problem but I'm not sure what is missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

*disclaimer* It's not exactly completed (lead tone im still messing around with and clean vox are a work in progress) but you get the basic idea of what I'm trying to accomplish.

i am a noob, but it sounds like everything is happening in the low end. that may explain why it sounds decent on good speakers and bad on car speakers.

but again, what do I know... :hypno:

To me the drums seem to have no overheads or room at all (sounds very mono)

In the breakdown the crash (I think it's a crash) just sounds like hiss. It's mostly the drums that sound "wrong"

Do you have a link to those shared files to hear what they originally sound like?

The drums are SSD. I probably should have mentioned that. I boosted the high end a bit, added a little tape saturation and it turned out a little better.

Also trimmed the beginning silence and added a little fade at the end.
