Cheers guys,

i'm currently at setting sounds for my bands album. were still at recording (only drums are finished, rhythmguitars & bass nearly, some soli, vox and keys are still missing), so this is just a clip of what i've got so far.
no vox yet, but i hope we can get them done soon enough.

guitars are my vox tonelab with a hell of different EQ to make it not sound too much like tonelab
bass is GR4 mixed with some processed DI
drums are real with samples on kick and snare
strings are just programmed EWSOG sofar, but will me played in the final edition.

at this point I like how it sounds,just hope i didnt overcompress & my monitors lack a bit of lows so i hope they fit somehow.
im also not that much fan of the overheads, but theres not much i cant do about them, because they are a single stereo track^^ ( we didnt have that many inputs on the interface)

any comments or tips would be greatly appreciated

Musically I dig it, I like the riffs and the solos! Good played. Sound wise I hear some issues, the stereo sum is much too distorted. Clipping Alarm! If you get those things fixed, the rest will work better as well. Keep it up, dude

got to take a look at it with fresh ears i guess

thanks felix, unfortunately i did not play the solo, that was our other guitarplayer. i suck @ solo compared to him, i'm more the rhythm'n'songwriting guy.

I really like the riff in the end. The mix sounds very good. The snare it´s kinda meh... I dont like her too much, I would add more crack. But that is just personal preferences, I guess.

thank you nuno! lol i kind of realized that we dont share the same taste for snares ill take a look at the snare!

I uploaded a newer version, played around with the snare a little (doesnt sound that much different though^^), tamed the mastercomp and tried out Eriks mastering chain (the one he mentioned in his newer post)
is there still distertion going on? i kind of cant trust my ears these days, dunno why...
