Short mix/tone test.. feedback wanted (Axe FX/S2.0/Drumagog)

Hey, I was hoping to get some feedback/criticism on the following clip:

It's just guitar and drums right now.. no bass. I recorded the guitars with my Axe FX and the drums are Superior 2.0/Drumagog. Let me know what needs to be tweaked to improve it! Thanks.

i don't care for the drums .. and that distortion part thats bending a string that sounds almost like an alarm going off or something. i'd like to hear it with bass with just the arpeggio guitar and better drum samples

Hi there,

The kickdrum needs a little work, more presence and punch. Also the snare might work better with more body and clarity. Guitars sound ok but when the one guitar plays a melody it needs more volume and better eq on the frequencies were the melody is based.

thanks for the reply sir! i hear exactly what you mean about the kick/snare, and with bass in the mix they will probably be drowned out. that's the next thing i'm going to work on, making them more present. and i'll definitely be working on the lead melody too cause i hear what you mean on that too, i basically just recorded that with the same exact patch i did the rhythm guitars with.. needs to be more present as well! thanks for the help!
