mixing/mastering for long player records

A band I know is going to release a split LP with the black metal band "Endstille" (I hate blackmetal but they seem to be pretty famous) which seems to be a good oportunity for me.

So they asked me to mix and master two of their songs for myspace and the LP. What's important when mixing/mastering for a long player record?

What's important when mixing/mastering for a long player record?

Keep your center defined, especially in the low end and avoid a overly sibilant or harsh top end. Don't worry about clipping or limiting as much because the person cutting the record can control and maximize the level for the vinyl medium best on their end. Get a test pressing to approve.

I think the same as if you are mixing an ep or just one song....

Every time I've mixed for vinyl the band has used the same master I created for CD/digital but I've still often wondered this myself. Thanks Waltz for the tips!
