Modernity

Everything's relative. Civilizations of the past had their triumphs and failures, as do the civilizations of the present.

True, but one would be folly not to observe how humans have acted in the past. There may be major differances in culture and technology, but they still had the same brains, the same wants and needs. If you read the history of the late ROman republic, you would be shocked how similar it is to today, minus technological innovation. Large Corporations, money becomes the motivating factor in politics and the rest of life, tradition is thrown out the window.

So therefore modernity isn't really modernity.
