HALion compatible!?:OMG:

FUCK YES!:headbang:

the black album sample sounds not as authentic as the slate version IMHO,
but hey who cares about drum sound other bands have/had...

Honestly, I feel some sort of plastic-vibe that I don't really like on some samples, like some toms. What I like is the fact that it sounds quite realistic on its own.

I think the programming might be to blame.. the sounds themselves sound pretty fucking fantastic, but definitely a bit fake.. sounds like all the velocities are set to pretty much max, the cymbals are REALLY fake. But if these were released in .wav form as well, ala Slate... fuck yeees.

Unmoored riff of the album Indefinite Soul Extension hehe,

Fuckin-A. I don't listen to that album nearly as often as I should. Whenever I hear Unspeakable Grief I think "Damn, that may be the best metal song I've ever heard" :headbang: ...up until the last minute, anyway.

Thx a lot for the comments, both positive and negative!

More info will be available soon but it includes a ready to go Cubase drum map to make programming a breeze. Kicks, snares and toms are included as gog files with velocity layers and variations. Also did a Cubase Track Archive with audio and midi channels all routed and set up with samples loaded into drumagogs to get you going quickly with programming or replacements in any session, if you're on that platform that is. :p

The sound on the demos is how it acts straight out of the box with just a bit of overall compression. A lot is up to the programmer and matter of taste just as with any library. Close, Overhead and Ambience samples separately. Kontakt, Halion, EXS24 and Drumagog are the formats supported. :headbang:

Why not .wav files? A bunch of people use ApTrigga, and once Trigger comes out a LOT of people will move to that if its as good as it seems, so only having .gog files would limit your customer base quite a lot.

Also.. when you say Kontakt, is that a free thing like SSD, or do you have to own the full version of Kontakt to use it?

Will the track archives work with Cubase 4 and 5?

How much is the price?

When is the approximate release date?

This sounds promising.
Yes the track archives work with both Cubase 4 and 5. It will retail for $69 and the release date is set to the end of April.

Yes, this is no problem. Wav files are supplied together with the GOGs just for this purpose. And no, Kontakt is not shipped together with the library so you need to own the full version or any of the other supported samplers.

EDIT: Not April... March, end of THIS month. :)
