What a nice band indeed ; my favorite was Wolfheart, Irreligious being a close second. Never heard Darkness and Hope, but I heard some very good comments, although you can't tell it's the same band, if I recall.
Live, they rock hard, too !

HarmonyDies : because you didn't like it, or because you didn't have the chance to do so ? I thought it was more diversified than Irreligious, and it has classic songs on that album. Great souvenirs.

i have all their albums, and I prefer by far Wolfheart ... (Vampyria, Of Ruins & Drama, Alma Matter and Love Crimes are my absolute favorite Moonspell songs, so ...)
I just got Butterfly Effect last nite and I kinda like it.What's the contrast between this and their earlier stuff?
Moonspell and Tiamat my 2 favotrite bands ... allthough I have heard the new Tiamat ... So now its all about Moonspell.
I have most of there stuff. Irreligous on up.
My favorite was Butterfly Effect.
I was a little let down by Darkness and Hope but it was still a great CD just not as edgy as Butterfly.
Irreligous fuckin rocks.
Sin/Pecado ... I like the direction of most of the songs
"Magdelane" is my fav Moonspell song and of course "Eurotica" is bad ass.
I think his voice is just amazing and can understand why he brought in a vocal coach when you have a voice like that you have to utilies it to its fullest potential.

I LOVE Moonspell. When I was really starting to get into underground metal Wolfheart was the all time best chill album...and I like every Moonspell since. I need to listen to Irreligious more, I remember it being my least favorite .
Sin/Pecado has some of the best packaging EVER. Butterfly FX's is good too.

The problem about Moonspell is that they can write amazing songs and at the same time they compose crap. Irreligious and Sin/Pecade were great albums w/ some fantastic songs but also some lacks in them. And the new album faces the same problem. "Nocturna" is a stunning song but on the other hand the "Vampire..." song sucks a lot. Actually I don't understand that but it is the same problem that e. g. Dimmu Borgir face - cool albums but nevertheless some blackouts...
