Once again, the internally incongruous nature of democracy deconstructs itself. Democratic government, in upholding a flawed ideal of liberty and justice, cannot enforce meaningful respect for either liberty or justice. How predictable.

Democracy is the idea that every man is a king, so it naturally runs into contradiction, because they can't all be right. For this reason, democracies cede reality to someone else, and focus on the preferences of the spoiled, rich and poor alike.
