Yeah even though I have my preferences toward Domination, Entangled in Chaos, and Blessed are the Sick over Altars of Madness, there is no doubt that this is an album of extraordinary magnitude.

No question in my mind. Morbid Angel shits all over Suffocation, and it doesn't help that Morbid Angel is one of my top DM bands.
never really got into Suffocation back in the days, but have really come to appreciate them over the last few years.
most of their tracks have a "heads down" intensity unmatched in the genre.
I love MA for different reasons, but they don't have many tracks that are just "balls out" in a sense

the only thing about this stuff (and probably anything old pretty much) is that when I rip it to MP3, it comes out so quiet. I almost have to have the iPOD on full volume to even hear this stuff properly
and of course, if I manipulate the volume in the MP3 rip itself, it doesn't keep the conversion clean. It's like messing around with the graphic equalizer
Were these albums ever re-released and re-mastered with proper volume levels?
