SAXON: More U.S. Tour Dates Announced - Mar. 9, 2005 British heavy metal legends SAXON have added several dates to their upcoming U.S. tour, which is scheduled to take place early May. The dates will immediately precede the group's European summer festival run, which is scheduled to kick off May 21 at the Schwung Festival in Roeselare, Belgium. So far, the following U.S. dates appear to have been confirmed:
May 11 - Santa Clara, CA @ The Avalon
May 12 - Fairfield, CA @ Pepperbellys
May 15 - Milwaukee, WI @ Shank Hall
May 16 - Chicago, IL @ House of Blues
May 19 - West Springfield, VA @ Jaxx
As previously reported, SAXON recently postponed their previously announced March European tour as a result of the band's frontman Biff Byford suffering a major loss when his house in the Normandie area of France burned down. According to a statement from the band's management, Biff, his wife and their children got out of the house at the very last minute and nobody was hurt. The European tour dates have since been rescheduled for September/October.
